Richmond, BC, Canada, September 2022 – Since January 2022, we have saved 280,000 single use plastic bottles from ending up in the landfills and oceans.
Water is vital to shipboard operations. 90% of our water is produced onboard through a state-of-the-art water purification system. We utilized WaterLogic filtration systems to provide UV filtered water refill stations and supplied our floatel crew and guests with reusable water bottles.
Ultraviolet water purification is one of the most effective forms of water treatment as it destroys the DNA of bacteria before reaching your glass, leaving clean pure H2O. UV is much kinder to the environment compared to alternative purification methods.It uses low amounts of electricity to operate, requires no chemicals such as chlorine disinfection and has no harmful by-products.
